We had a fantastic stay at Uno Hotel during our visit to Naoshima, the art island. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, which made everything very convenient. The traditional Japanese rooms were truly special. Beautifully designed, spacious, and full of character, they added to the overall experience. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm and welcoming. The staff were outstanding. Easily the best English we encountered during our trip, and always helpful and attentive. Breakfast was a highlight. We chose the traditional Japanese option, which was beautifully presented and delicious. It also included five different juices, a nice touch that stood out. We did not have time to use the onsen next to the hotel, even though it was included in the rate. It is a great extra for anyone staying longer. While not the cheapest hotel of our trip, it was probably the highest in quality. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Naoshima

This Hotel runs a Hostel-Area that is spotlesslessly clean, provided with Pyjama, Towels First Class sheets, very good beds and unusually room for privacy. Each bed in the dormitory is an own seperate room, with own air conditioning, dimmable lights and more than enough storage. Even a safe with pin code is included. Unlimited tea, water and ice-cream in the kitchen, 2 minute walk the onsen, which guests can use costfree during their stay. The hotel has increadibly charming interior and art. All areas are specious and clean, from corridors to rooms and dining. Great fresh and unique breakfast with. five part smoothie selection. It is 1 minute to uno train station, 1 minute to the bus station and a 3 minute walk to Uno port where you can leave to Naoshima, Teshima and Shadoshima. I enjoyed my stay very much and will be coming back soon. The staff is friendly and very competent.

The best hostel experience I've ever had. -The shared bathrooms were so clean and had everything you need (shampoo, conditioner, hairdrier, towels) They were also so roomy and pretty. -The staff was so welcoming and helpful! Since my room was right next to the air purifyer (which was kinda loud during the night) I kindly asked them if they could put it on silent mode and she was so understanding and did so! - I stayed for two nights and I was provided with a new set of towels, pyjamas and slippers. Also when returning from a long day at Naoshima it's so nice to come back to a cleaned room:D - The hotel is also not even 5 mins away from the ferries and the main station. Very convenient for sure:)!!! -They also give you a free pass to use their onsen and in the shared kitchen there's tea, snacks, and water. So comfy.

We are a group of two and stayed in the hostel portion of the hotel. This was probably one of the fanciest hostels I’ve been to. Amazing amenities that are new, modern, and clean. They also include free day pass to the high end onsen next door. The hostel area also has a lounge area with access to complimentary water, snacks, and ice cream. Towels and PJs are available for free, along with toothbrushes/razors/combs. Each guest got their own tiny room (unlocked, has a sliding fan door with magnetic closure) located in a hall that requires a key card to access. There’s about 8-10 of these pods in one hall. The pods themselves are pretty spacious for hostel standards (I’ve been in Tokyo hotels that size not including the bathroom).

Excellent location across the street from the train station and just a few minutes walk from the ferry. It’s a beautifully designed hotel. Even the “hostel” part is much more luxurious than it sounds. Elegant design, white sheets, comfortable bed, fluffy white towels, and pyjamas. There is also more privacy than I expected. Each individual cubicle is quite spacious. As many have mentioned, there is complimentary access to the nearby onsen. The staff is fantastic. The front desk arranged for my suitcase to be delivered to my next destination. The cleaning staff also deserve a mention. Everything, including common areas, is very clean.
